To say the last month has been exhausting for me might be the understatement of the year. The adventure started on November seventh while I was looking for more cold-weather clothes. What I found shocked me, but I’m glad I found it when I did. To my surprise, I found black mold spreading throughout our bedroom closet. My wife and I believe this was caused by a water pipe that broke under our bedroom last winter. Upon this discovery, I immediately started removing everything from our bedroom closet. Luckily, everything was salvaged, other than a few old clothing items.
I didn’t realize it then, but finding the mold was only the beginning of the November party of 2022. I slipped on our icy back porch on November twelfth while bringing our dog inside. That same evening, I kicked my cane with my left foot, which also jarred my body. To top that weekend off, I slipped on the area rug in our living room the following night. Oh yes, the first two weeks of November was a surprise party like no other. Like they say, all surprises aren’t good.
