Just be thankful. Three little words that carry so much meaning. There are times in our lives that it might not feel like it, but there’s always something to be grateful for. No matter what our circumstances are, there’s always someone worse off than us. I think in America, we take some things for granted. People in some countries wish they had some of the things we do. Not all countries have basic things like clean water and a steady food supply.

If you have a roof over your head at night, that’s something to be thankful for. Millions of people wish they had a roof over their heads at night. Simple things like having food in your refrigerator and clothes on your back are things to be grateful for. There are those less fortunate than us who would feel like they won the lottery if they had those things.

We should count our blessings every morning when we wake up. We’ve all lost friends and loved ones who wish they had one more day. The fact that we’re alive and kicking is a blessing that shouldn’t be taken lightly. So please remember, just be thankful. Let’s be thankful year round, not just in November. I’m very thankful that you took the time to read this. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.

I’ve enjoyed writing since I was a child. I love to tell stories that people relate to and enjoy while talking about real-life situations.
